ABSTRACT

Objective To study the relative risk factors of simultaneous gastric and colonic polyps,pro-vide theoretical basis for simultaneous gastrointestinal endoscopy monitoring for high-risk population. Methods Retrospective analysis on the patients with a total of 506 cases in the department of gastroenterology of Zhujiang Hospital from 2014 to 2016 and diagnosis gastric polyps or colonic polyps. Adopt cases-control research,the pa-tients(138)with gastric polyps and colonic polyps were divided into case group,the patients(99)with gastric polyps or colonic polyps(269)were divided into control group.Results The colonic polyps group is mainly com-posed of male(69.1%);while gastric polyps group is mainly composed of female(76.8%);The proportion of the patients over 50 years old with gastrointestinal polyp is higher(81.9%).The proportion of Hp infection in the colon-ic polyps group is higher(43.1%),followed by the cases group(31.9%).The composition of the pathological types between gastric polyps group,colonic polyps group and cases group is similar,while there is no correlation on the pathological types between gastric polyps and colonic polyps in the cases group. Conclusion The male patients who diagnosis gastric polyps should perform colonoscopy,the gastric polyps patients who is Hp infection should per-form colonoscopy,the patients over 50 years old are suggested to perform gastrointestinal endoscopy. There is no correlation on the pathological types between gastric polyps and colonic polyps,further studies will be conducted to expand the study sample size.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the value of contrast enhanced MR imaging (CEMRI)for the diagnosis of focal liver lesions with Meta analysis.Methods Relevant English and Chinese language studies were searched on the Pubmed,EMBASE,EBSCO,OV-ID,CNKI,CBM,VIP,WANFANG databases,respectively.Data were calculated with software of STATA 1 1.0 and Meta Disc 1.4. Results 1 7 of 2836 retrieved studies were included,the pooled sensitivity and specificity for CEMRI with 95% confidence interval (95%CI)were 0.85(0.84-0.87)and 0.86(0.84-0.88),respectively,the AUC of SROC was 0.91 6 8.Conclusion CEMRI can be used as one of the primary examination modalities for focal liver lesions with moderate sensitivity and specificity.

ABSTRACT

Microwaves can be directly transformed into heat inside materials because of their ability of penetrating into any substance. The degree that materials are heated depends on their dielectric properties. Materials with high dielectric loss are more easily to reach a resonant state by microwaves field, then microwaves can be absorbed efficiently. Microwave irradiation technique with the unique heating mechanisms could induce drug-polymer interaction and change the properties of dissolution. Many benefits such as improving product quality, increasing energy efficiency and reducing times can be obtained by microwaves. This paper summarized characteristics of the microwave irradiation technique, new preparation techniques and formulation process in pharmaceutical industry by microwave irradiation technology. The microwave technology provides a new clue for heating and drying in the field of pharmaceutics.

ABSTRACT

Converting two poorly water-soluble crystalline drugs to co-amorphous drug systems by ball milling, quench-cooling, or cryo-milling method can improve stability of the drug, enhance dissolution rates, and reduce adverse reactions of the single drug. Co-amorphous system has been used to solve problems of co-administration of medicines. Formation and intermolecular interactions of co-amorphous drug systems may be verified by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD), Raman spectroscopy (RS) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). Stability of co-amorphous drug systems is influenced by their glass transition temperature (Tg) and intermolecular interactions. The theoretical Tg values and the interaction parameter x are calculated by Gordon-Taylor equation and the Flory-Huggins equation, respectively. Thus, co-amorphous drug systems are analyzed theoretically at molecular level. Co-amorphous drug systems provide a new sight for the co-administration of medicines.

ABSTRACT

iRGD-modified sterically stabilized liposomes loaded doxorubicin (iRGD-SSL-DOX) were prepared and their cellular toxicity and anti-tumor efficacy were evaluated, comparing to doxorubixin loaded sterically stabilized liposomes (SSL-DOX) and RGD modified doxorubixin loaded sterically stabilized liposomes (RGD-SSL-DOX). The iRGD peptide, with both tumor targeting and cell penetrating functions, was conjugated to DSPE-PEG-NHS and DSPE-PEG-iRGD was obtained. DSPE-PEG-RGD was gained in the same way. iRGD-SSL-DOX, RGD-SSL-DOX and SSL-DOX were prepared by ammonium sulfate gradient method. The size and zeta potential of the liposomes were characterized by dynamic laser light scattering. The cellular toxicity study was done on B16 melanoma cell line and the anti-tumor efficacy study was carried on B16 cell line bearing C57BL/6 mice. The results showed that the particle sizes of liposomes were all around 90-100 nm. DOX entrapment efficiency was above 95%. The formulations were with good preparation reproducibility. iRGD-SSL-DOX showed no significant difference in B16 cellular toxicity with SSL-DOX and RGD-SSL-DOX, but the anti-tumor efficacy on B16 melanoma bearing C57BL/6 mice was significantly better than that of SSL-DOX, similar as that of RGD-SSL-DOX. Therefore, iRGD modified liposomes loaded DOX would be a promising drug delivery system for tumor therapy.

ABSTRACT

@#Objective To study the effects neuromuscular electrotherapy and kinesitherapy on brachial plexus palsy. Methods 20 patients with brachial plexus palsy accepted neuromuscular electrical stimulation on involved muscles, and were followed up for 18~58 months. Other 17 patients accepted neurolysis alone were as control. Results The function of shoulder and elbow in electric stimulation group was significantly superior to that of control (P<0.01). Conclusion Neuromuscular electrotherapy combined with kinestherapy is effective on the brachial plexus palsy.

ABSTRACT

@#Objective To observe the changes of neural blood flow when oppressed with different pressures and at different sites in rat's sciatic nerve.MethodsThe sciatic nerve compression model of rat with pressure and time controlled simultaneously was established.The changes of neural blood flow were observed by oppressing the sciatic nerve with five grades pressures using Gasbag.The rats were randomly divided into the distal compression group and proximal compression group,and the changes of neural blood flow were observed in each group.ResultsThe neural blood flow changed significantly(P<0.05) when the sciatic nerve was oppressed with different pressures and it had the decreasing tendency with the pressures increasing.The neural blood flow of each group decreased obviously(P<0.01).The effect of oppressing distal nerve on neural blood flow was more obvious than that of oppressing proximal nerve(P<0.01).ConclusionMechanical compression can influence the neural blood flow obviously.The distal vessels of sciatic nerve are the major sources of nerve blood supply.

ABSTRACT

@#Objective To explore the effects of rehabilitation on radial nerve injury.Methods 20 patients with radial nerve injury were included.The involved muscles were stimulated with NMR-muscular restorer for 10~15 min per muscle combined with kinesitherapy for 20~30 min.The patients were followed up for 12~30 months.Results 15 cases with no-operation recovered to 16 marks,which means excellent,3.5~18 months after rehabilitation.3 case after nerve exploration recovered to 16 marks in 1 case and 15 marks in 2 cases.1 case after neuro-anastomosis recovered to 6 marks,which means improved,6 months after rehabilitation.1 case after radial nerve graft recovered to 4 marks,which means no-improved after 12 months follow-up.Conclusion Neuromuscular electrotherapy combined with kinesitherapy is effective on radial nerve injury.

ABSTRACT

@#Objective To observe the long-term result of brachial plexus injury.Methods41 cases of brachial plexus injury were divided into the non-operation group (n=11), neurolysis group (n=17), never repair group (n=13). Retrospective analysis of the charts and follow-up survey of the functional recovery of shoulder joint and elbow joint were carried out. Gilbert score and Mallett score were adopted at the follow-up.ResultsIn the non-operation group, 9 cases were graded as excellent, 1 case as good, 1 case as bad. In the neurolysis group, 2 cases were graded as excellent and good. In the never repair group, 2 cases of shoulder joint obtained excellent, 4 cases of elbow joint were grade as good.ConclusionThe simple surgical result of brachial plexus injury is not satisfactory, it should be combined with postoperative rehabilitation.

@#: Objective To explore the effect of ultraviolet with specialized electro-magnetic wave on pressure sore.Methods105 sores in 80 patients were divided into ultraviolet with specialized electro-magnetic wave group and the routine group.Healing time for the sores was observed.ResultsHealing rate of pressure sore within 5 d was 94.1% and 40.5% in the ultraviolet with specialized electro-magnetic wave group and the routine group,respectively (P<0.001).ConclusionThe efficacy of ultraviolet with specialized electro-magnetic wave is superior to routine therapy on pressure sore.

@#Objective To investigate the effect of passive exercise on neural functional recovery after peripheral nerve crushed injury.MethodsThe effect of passive exercise on early peripheral nerve regeneration and recovery of motor function were observed with electrophysiological and histological indexes compared with that of the splinting group.ResultsThe nerve conduction of training group was faster than that in the splinting group,and the latency of compound muscle action potentials(CMAP)was shorter(P<0.05).The thickness of myelin sheath,average numbers of myelinated nerve fibera per area and diameter of regenerating axon in training group were larger than those in the splinting group(P<0.05).The wet weight of sural triceps of training group were bigger than that of the splinting group(P<0.01).ConclusionThe passive exercise can improve the early recovery of motor function and neural regeneration after peripheral nerve crushed injury.

ABSTRACT

@# ObjectiveTo observe the apoptosis of breast cancer cells induced by small direct-current electric field (EF) and its related possible mechanism in expression of p21 and p16 genes.MethodsSmall direct-current EF was applied in human breast cancer cell line MCF7 in vitro and the effect of EF on apoptosis and expression of p21 and p16 important genes of breast cancer cells was observed.ResultsThe small direct-current EF had an obvious apoptosis inducing effect on breast cancer cells. A lot of cancer cells were sloughed from culture dish by 200 mV/mm of the EF strength. The number of the apoptotic cancer cells was gradually significantly increased and mRNA expressions of p21 and p16 genes were raised following the EF strength being up (P<0.01).ConclusionThe small direct-current EF has an obvious apoptosis inducing effect on breast cancer cells. It may be related with the expression of p21 and p16 genes.

@#ObjectiveTo explore the effect of left move and twists of I/t curve on predicting prognosis of facial paralysis.Methods181 cases with 171 Bell's palsy and 10 Hunt's syndrome were examined with I/t curve of frontal muscle and upper orbicularis. The assessing criterion of diseases course was determined according to the recovery time of frontal muscle evaluated by raising eyebrow, the recovery time of orbicularis ascertained by House-Brackmann Ⅰ, Ⅱ grades and stable phase in partial moderate and severe facial paralysis.ResultsThe recovery time of frontal muscle and orbicularis between twist and non-twist in I/t curve and in sex was not significant. The left move of I/t curve was confined to slight, moderate and severe arranges; the recovery time was not significant also. Twist rate in I/t curve was highest in moderate facial paralysis and then second in orbicularis of slight paralysis. The left move of I/t curve had a very significant relationship with recovery time of frontal muscle and orbicualris.ConclusionThe left move of I/t curve plays a very important role in determining nerve injury degrees and predicting prognosis of facial paralysis.

@#ObjectiveTo measure cortical areas involved ankle dorsiflexion and planter flexion.MethodsSix-health subjects performed ankle dorsiflexion and planter flexion. While, functional MRI at 1.5 T was made.ResultsWhen ankle dorsiflexion, the excited cortical areas included bilateral primary motor cortex (MⅠ) and primary somatosensory cortex (SⅠ), but area on contralateral side bigger than that on ipsilateral side, as well as chief visual cortexes and vermis of cerebellum. Inhibited areas included area 19, area 20 and area 39. When ankle planter flexion, the excited areas included contralateral secondary motor area (MⅡ) and striate body, ipsilateral supplementary motor area (SMA) and limbic system. Inhibited areas included bilateral upper middle precentral gyrus and postcentral gyrus, superior parietal lobule, inferior parietal lobule and prefrontal cortex.ConclusionThere is a great difference in the brain function images respectively in ankle dorsiflexion and planter flexion.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate if the single item fatigue question of the Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index(BASDAI) is appropriate for measuring fatigue in patients with ankylosing spondylitis(AS), and to identify factors that influence fatigue in these patients. Methods A total of 93 patients with ankylosing spondylitis were recruited. Patients completed questionnaires on disease activity(BASDAI), functional ability[Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Functional Index(BASFI)], the short form McGill Pain Questionnaire and 10 cm visual analogue scale(VAS) for sleep disturbance. Reliability was assessed with intraclass correlation coefficients. The patients were then dichotomized into a F+group (eg, fatigue is the major symptom) if the BASDAI fatigue scale was ≥5.0 and a F-group(eg, fatigue is the minor symptom) if the fatigue score was

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the influence o f ultraviolet C (UVC) irradiation of different doses on expression of basic fibrob last growth factor (bFGF) in granulation tissues of wound in rats. MethodsThirty Wistar rats were recruited and three wounds wer e made in each rat. The UVC irradiation of different doses (60mJ/cm2 and 15mJ/ cm2) were performed daily in two of the three wounds in each rat, respectively , and the UVC irradiation lasted for three days. The expression of bFGF both at the mRNA level and the protein level were observed by the methods of in situ hyb ridization and immunohistochemistry at 7 days, 14 days, 21 days after wound was made, respectively. @#ObjectiveTo investigate the L-hydroxyproline (L-Hyp) changes in rats' skin after exposed to different doses of ultraviolet C irradiation (UVC) and the effect of UVC radiation on collagen synthesis.MethodsAfter the animal model was set up, each male Wistar rat was made three fresh skin wounds, and three skin wounds of rats were divided into the 15 MED UVC irradiation (15mJ/cm2),60 MED UVC irradiation (60mJ/cm2) and control (without UVC irradiation). Then the chemistry method was utilized to research changes of L-Hyp contents of the granulation.ResultsFrom the 21st to the 28th day after UVC irradiation, contents of L-Hyp in the 15 MED group were higher than that in controls (P<0.05). While at the 28th day, L-Hyp level in the 60 MED group increased greatly and was higher than that in other two groups (P<0.01).ConclusionUVC irradiation increases L-Hyp level in rat's wound skin, so it accelerates the collagen synthesis and is helpful to promote wound healing, and the effect of 60 MED dose is superior to that of 15 MED.

@#ObjectiveTo research the apoptosis of breast cancer cells by application of small direct-current electric field(EF) and its related possible mechanism.MethodsSmall direct-current EFs were applied in human breast cancer cell line MCF7 in vitro to observe the effects on apoptosis of cancer cells by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick end labeling(TUNEL)and to detect the mRNA expression of p53, Rb and E2F1 genes by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).ResultsA lot of cancer cells were observed slaughed from culture dish by 200mV/mm of the field strength and the number of the apoptotic cancer cells was gradually significantly increased with the application of EFs(P<0.01). mRNA expression level for p53 and Rb genes was elevated but that for E2F1 gene was decreased overtly in cancer cells exposed to EFs.ConclusionApoptosis of breast cancer cells can be induced by small direct-current EFs and the change for expression of p53, Rb and E2F1 genes may be involved in the mechanism.

@#ObjectiveTo explore the convenient and effective therapeutic methods for acute lumbar strain on the basis of classification and mechanism of acute lumbar strain.MethodsAcute lumbar strain was classified into post-lumbar joint disturbance type, post-lumbar joint embedded type, muscular strangulated type, muscular strain, sacroiliac joint malposition and mixed type.The repulsion reposition, orthodromic allocation, repulsion ilium and moving leg combioned with high electric frequence were chosen according to the patients' age and somatic condition.ResultsAfter 1-3 times curing, the symptom and appearance of the patients were obviously improved, even more recovery. In these 100 cases,52 patients were cured,39 patients were obviously improved, 9 patients were better than before, the rate of obvious effect was 91%.ConclusionsManipulation combined with high electrical frequence is a convenient, safe and effective method for acute lumbar strain.
